When you do charity work, it's often for people who have no idea what they want in the first place. Such was the case with St. Joseph's Parish in New Hope, MN. I consulted with them in 1998 during several exercises to help "discover" their online needs. In the end, they wanted minimal content and a very simple design, shown here.
I was given quite a bit of creative leeway, including the selection of colors. Years later, they expanded their identity system, and they seem to have adopted these same colors!
