A colleague of mine had taken on work for a small Apple tech support company, and they already had a web site. In fact, they already had a ton of content, had a branding system, and lots of collateral. Hence, they were an easy client to work with!
Like so many other clients before them, and many who will follow, the guys at KVC wanted "something really high-end and professional, but super clean and simple." Ah, yes... the contrary art direction. A classic!
I came up with this design to match their print collateral, and they instantly loved it. It also had a liquid design to fit any size monitor. The buttons, and even the mouse cord, all stretched to fit the browser window. This was pretty advanced stuff in the 90s!
