At one point I was asked to work on a site design for a contemporary church for singles and 20-somethings. They already had an identity system and plenty of collateral, so the design came naturally.
But as with any project, there is always a catch, and in this case it was the dreaded splash page... an idea definitely past its prime. This one was animated using Flash, and featured loud, muffled night-club music. When you hovered the mouse over the door, it swung open, the music got louder and clearer, and inside you could see silhouettes of an excited crowd, pumping their fists in the air. Weren't those the days?
